London Olympics: Which country was the most successful?

I came across this interesting infographic calculating Gold medals per capita at the London Olympic Games 2012. Looks like Grenada came out on top at the London Olympics, let me know if you agree? When you look at it like this, it makes you realise why the USA and China have such a strong presence at the Olympic Games.

Mid-Week Motivation: Olympic Champions

There have been two standout performances from a South African point of view at the London 2012 Olympic Games, Cameron Van Der Burgh and Chad Le Clos!

After years of hard work, thousands of laps in the pool, 35 hours a week in training and pure and utter dedication to step up from the 50m to the 100m Breastroke… Cameron Van Den Burgh swam the race of his life to win the 100m Breastroke Olympic Final! What a legend!

Mid-Week Motivation

Here is a guy who laid everything on the line to win an Olympic Gold Medal. He had the will and determination to train harder and faster than everyone else to win…

I had the privilege of watching Jan (who races for Germany but has local South African roots) race a Western Province Championship Triathlon in 2002 and just knew that he was going to be a world class athlete. In 2008 he proved that by winning the Beijing Olympics men’s triathlon in an extremely close sprint finish. See the highlights of the 2008 Olympic Triathlon here:
